Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Please read these terms carefully before entering any competition. By participating you agree to be bound by the following conditions.

1. The Promoter

1.1 The promoter is Big Mouth Competitions Limited, company number 16761060, registered office 1st Floor Waterside House, Waterside Drive, Wigan, Lancashire, England, WN3 5AZ (the “Promoter”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

1.2 Our correspondence address is Big Mouth Competitions, PO Box 8171, Wellingborough, NN8 9PL.

1.3 If you wish to contact us for any reason, please email hello@bigmouthcompetitions.com.

1.4 These terms should be read together with our Acceptable Use Policy, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. Where these terms conflict with the Acceptable Use Policy in relation to a competition entry or a prize, these terms prevail.

2. The competition

2.1 These terms and conditions apply to all competitions listed on our website at https://bigmouthcompetitions.com (the “Website”).

2.2 We may offer different formats of competition. Except where you use the free entry route, an entry fee is payable each time you enter.

2.3 Every valid entry, whether paid or free, is entered into the draw for that competition. You do not need to answer a question to enter.

2.4 A free entry route is available for every competition we run, on the terms set out in clause 4. The free entry route is given equal prominence to the paid route on each competition page and at checkout, and gives you exactly the same chance of winning as a paid entry.

2.5 All prices shown on the Website are the total price payable per entry. Payment is taken at the point of entry by our payment provider. If a payment is declined, reversed or charged back, the entries it paid for may be voided under clause 6.

3. How to enter — paid entries

3.1 Each competition runs from and including the opening and closing dates specified on the Website (the “Opening Date” and the “Closing Date”). All times and dates are those in London, England.

3.2 If it is necessary to do so, we may change the Opening Date or the Closing Date. Any new details will be displayed on the Website. We will not extend the Closing Date simply to sell more entries.

3.3 All entries must be received by us no later than the specified time on the Closing Date. Entries received after that time will not be entered into the draw.

3.4 Where a competition has a maximum number of entries, this will be stated on the Website. The number of entries you can make may be limited if the maximum is reached. Any maximum number of entries per Entrant will also be stated on the Website. Entry caps apply equally to paid entries and free entries.

3.5 You may enter as many times as you wish until either the maximum number of entries for the competition has been reached or any maximum per Entrant has been reached.

3.6 All Entrants, including those entering for free, must open an account on the Website before entering. Only one account per person is permitted. If you open or attempt to open more than one account, all of your accounts may be closed and your entries voided under clause 6.

3.7 Once you have an account, to enter a competition:

(a) go to the Website and choose the competition you wish to enter;

(b) select the number of entries you wish to make; and

(c) complete checkout and pay the entry fee.

3.8 Free entries may be submitted in English or Welsh. We will not void an entry solely because of the language in which it was submitted.

3.9 We will send confirmation by email that your paid entry has been received, together with your entry number or numbers.

3.10 We are not responsible for entries that are not successfully completed, are lost or are delayed for reasons outside our reasonable control, including equipment failure, technical malfunction, or network, server, hardware or software failure. This does not affect your rights under clause 12 where the failure was caused by us.

3.11 By paying an entry fee and submitting an entry, you enter into a contract with us and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

4. How to enter — free entry route

4.1 You may enter any competition free of charge, by post, on the following conditions. Free entries are placed in exactly the same draw, with the same chance of winning, as paid entries.

4.2 Send one entry per envelope, by first or second class post, to: Free Entry, Big Mouth Competitions, PO Box 8171, Wellingborough, NN8 9PL.

4.3 Each free entry must include all of the following, and the details must match those on your account:

(a) the name of the competition you wish to enter;

(b) your full name;

(c) your address; and

(d) a contact telephone number and email address.

4.4 Each free entry must be sent in a separate envelope. If several entries arrive in a single envelope, they will be treated as one entry, and clause 4.5 will then be applied to that single entry.

4.5 If the entry price for a competition is less than the price of a second class stamp (currently 91p) you will receive multiple entries for each entry you send, so that the value of your entries equals or exceeds the price of a second class stamp. For example, if the entry price is 49p, you will receive 2 free entries for each one you send. If the entry price is 33p, you will receive 3 free entries for each one you send. The number of free entries you will receive for each entry you send is stated on the competition page.

4.6 All entries allocated to you under clause 4.5 count towards the maximum number of entries for the competition and towards any maximum number of entries per Entrant, in the same way as paid entries.

4.7 Incomplete entries will not be entered into the draw. Where an entry is illegible but we can identify your account, we will contact you before treating the entry as invalid.

4.8 Your free entry must be received by us before the Closing Date. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. If the maximum number of entries for the competition is reached before your free entry is received, your entry will not be entered into the draw.

4.9 We are not able to acknowledge receipt of free entries. You can check that your entry has been included by viewing the entry list for the competition (see clause 5.5).

4.10 By submitting a free entry you confirm that you are eligible to enter and that you accept these terms and conditions.

5. Choosing a winner

5.1 We may use different methods of choosing a winner, depending on the format of the competition. The method that applies will be stated on the competition page.

5.2 Main draw. All valid entries are placed into a draw and the winner is chosen at random. The draw will take place as soon as reasonably possible and in any event within 7 days of the Closing Date (the “Draw Date”).

5.3 Instant wins. Every Entrant who meets the entry requirements is allocated an entry number at random from the same single pool of numbers, whether they entered by the paid route or the free entry route. If your entry number corresponds with an instant win number stated on the Website, you win that prize.

5.4 Auto draws. We may use an auto draw system to select the winner of a main draw or any instant win. For a main draw, the system will randomly select a winner from all valid entries when the Closing Date is reached or all entries have been allocated, whichever is sooner. For instant wins, the system automatically allocates the prize where the entry number matches.

5.5 We publish an entry list for each competition on the Website, showing the name of each Entrant and their entry number, so that anyone can see the full set of entries the draw was run across. We also publish the surname and county of major prize winners, and the winning entry number, as described in clause 9.4. Free entries appear in the entry list in exactly the same way as paid entries.

5.6 If you would prefer your name not to appear in the published entry list, you can turn this off in your account settings at any time, or by emailing hello@bigmouthcompetitions.com. Your entry number will still be shown, so the total number of entries remains accurate. Turning this off has no effect on your chance of winning.

5.7 For help with entries, please email hello@bigmouthcompetitions.com.

6. Eligibility and fair play

6.1 Competitions are open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, except:

(a) our employees, officers and contractors;

(b) employees of our agents or suppliers who are professionally connected with a competition or its administration; and

(c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b).

6.2 By entering, you confirm that you are eligible to enter and to claim any prize you may win. We may require you to provide proof of your identity, age and address. If you do not provide it within a reasonable time, your entries may be voided.

6.3 To keep our competitions fair, you must not:

(a) use any bot, script, macro, browser extension, entry service or third party to submit entries or to hold or operate an account on your behalf;

(b) open, operate or control more than one account, use another person’s identity or payment details, or allow anyone else to use your account;

(c) sell, transfer, gift or syndicate accounts or entries, except where a specific competition expressly permits a syndicate;

(d) use a VPN, proxy, remote desktop, virtual machine, spoofed device, or false name, address or date of birth to enter or to appear eligible;

(e) use a stolen or unauthorised payment method, exploit a pricing or credit error, or raise a payment dispute in bad faith rather than contacting us first;

(f) interfere with, or attempt to influence or predict, the operation of any draw, random number generator or verification process, or misrepresent yourself as a winner;

(g) interfere with the proper functioning of the Website, or amend or make unauthorised use of any of the code that makes up the Website; or

(h) behave abusively towards our staff, our live-draw hosts, our suppliers or other Entrants.

6.4 If you become aware of a bug, error or loophole affecting entry, pricing, entry counts or draw outcomes, you must report it to hello@bigmouthcompetitions.com and must not exploit it.

6.5 If we conclude, acting reasonably and on the evidence available to us, that you have breached clause 6.3, we may take one or more of the following steps, to the extent proportionate to the breach: warn you; suspend or close your account; void some or all of your entries; withhold, withdraw or reclaim any prize and offer it to the next eligible Entrant; and refuse future entries.

6.6 Before we withhold or reclaim a prize, we will tell you why and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond, unless we are prevented from doing so by law or by a live investigation.

7. Refunds

7.1 As a general rule, entry fees are not refundable. In particular, no refund is due where your entries are voided because of fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or concealment, payment fraud, multiple accounts, or any other breach of clause 6.3.

7.2 We will refund the entry fees you have paid where:

(a) we void, suspend or cancel a competition under clause 13.3;

(b) your entries are voided because of our error, or because we changed the eligibility criteria after you entered and you are no longer eligible; or

(c) a refund is required by law.

7.3 Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights.

7.4 Your right to cancel. Because entry into a competition is a service that we begin to provide immediately, by entering you ask us to begin performance straight away and acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 once your entry has been placed in the competition. Until that point you may cancel by emailing hello@bigmouthcompetitions.com and we will refund you in full.

8. The prize

8.1 The prize for each competition is described on the Website (the “Prize”). Details of the Prize are correct as at the Opening Date to the best of our knowledge and belief.

8.2 Prizes are subject to availability. We may substitute any Prize with one of equal or greater value. If any details of the Prize change, we will update the Website as soon as reasonably possible.

8.3 The Prize will be as described on the Website. If the Prize arrives damaged or is not as described, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we will repair it, replace it, or pay you its stated value, at your choice.

8.4 The Prize may be supplied by a third party (the “Supplier”). Details of the Supplier, if any, will be provided on the Website. Our obligation to provide the Prize to you is not affected by any failure of a Supplier.

8.5 We may offer an alternative cash prize (“Cash Prize”) for some competitions. Where one is offered, the amount will be stated in the prize description and it is your choice whether you take the Prize or the Cash Prize. We may also substitute the Prize for a Cash Prize of equivalent stated value where the Prize becomes unavailable, or where other circumstances beyond our reasonable control make it necessary.

8.6 The Prize is not negotiable or transferable, except as set out in clause 10.2.

8.7 In these terms, a “major prize winner” means the winner of a Prize with a stated value of £1,000 or more.

9. Winners

9.1 Our decision is final, save in the case of manifest error. If you disagree with a decision we have made, you may raise it through our complaints process in clause 14. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights or your right to take legal action.

9.2 We will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Draw Date, using the telephone number or email address on their account. We will make at least three attempts to make contact, across at least two different channels, over a period of at least 7 days.

9.3 If the winner cannot be contacted, or has not claimed the Prize, within 14 days of the Draw Date, we may offer the Prize to the next eligible Entrant selected from the valid entries received before the Closing Date.

9.4 We are required to publish, or make available, information showing that a valid award took place. To comply, we will either publish the surname and county of major prize winners on the Website, or send the surname and county of major prize winners to anyone who writes to the address in clause 1.2 enclosing a self-addressed envelope, within one month after the Closing Date.

9.5 If you object to your surname, county or winning entry being published or made available, please contact us at hello@bigmouthcompetitions.com before the Closing Date. We must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

10. Claiming the prize

10.1 You must claim the Prize personally, and it may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf. We may waive this at our discretion where you are unable to claim personally, for example because of incapacity, or where a winner has died. Details of how the Prize will be delivered, or made available for collection, are published on the Website.

10.2 We will deliver the Prize, or make it available for collection, within 30 days of your entitlement being verified, unless the competition page states a different period or you agree a later date with us.

10.3 If your personal details change at any time, tell us as soon as reasonably possible by emailing hello@bigmouthcompetitions.com, including the competition entered, your old details and your new details. If your details change within 5 days of the Closing Date, we may use your old details when trying to contact you.

10.4 A Cash Prize will be transferred to the winner’s nominated bank account. You must provide evidence that you are the sole or joint beneficiary of that account, and we may carry out identity and anti-money-laundering checks before paying a Cash Prize. If you do not provide the evidence we reasonably require within 14 days, we may offer the Prize to the next eligible Entrant. We will tell you before we do so and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond.

10.5 Except as set out in clause 12, we are not liable to pay compensation if you are unable to, or choose not to, take up the Prize.

11. Responsible play

11.1 Our competitions are meant to be entertainment. Please only spend what you can comfortably afford.

11.2 You can set a monthly spending limit in your account settings at any time. A reduction takes effect immediately; an increase takes effect 24 hours after you request it.

11.3 You can self-exclude by emailing hello@bigmouthcompetitions.com. Self-exclusion lasts for a minimum of six months, during which we will close your account to new entries and remove you from our marketing. Any entries already placed remain valid and any prize you win will still be paid to you.

11.4 If you are worried about how much you are spending, free and confidential help is available from BeGambleAware at https://www.begambleaware.org or on 0808 8020 133, and from GamCare at https://www.gamcare.org.uk.

12. Our liability

12.1 We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of the terms implied by sections 49 and 50 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and for any of your statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12.2 Subject to clause 12.1, we are not liable to you for:

(a) loss or damage that was not caused by our breach or negligence;

(b) loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or loss of chance; or

(c) any loss or damage that was not foreseeable at the time you entered.

12.3 Subject to clause 12.1, our total liability to you in relation to any competition is limited to the greater of (a) the entry fees you paid for that competition and (b) the stated value of the Prize for that competition.

12.4 We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by an event outside our reasonable control, including strikes, failure of utilities or transport networks, fire, flood, epidemic, or acts of government. If such an event occurs we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and clause 13.3 will apply.

13. Changing, cancelling and amending

13.1 We may change these terms and conditions where we have a valid reason to do so, for example to reflect a change in the law or in regulatory guidance, a change in how the Website works, or a new risk we need to address. Where a change materially affects you we will give you at least 14 days’ notice by email or by a prominent notice on the Website.

13.2 Changes do not apply retrospectively to a competition you have already entered. The version of these terms in force when you entered continues to govern that entry. The latest version is always available on the Website.

13.3 We may hold void, suspend, cancel or amend a competition where it becomes necessary to do so. There is no minimum number of entries and we will not void, suspend, cancel or amend a competition because of a lack of entries. If we void or cancel a competition, you will be offered a full refund of the entry fees you paid for that competition.

14. Complaints

14.1 If you are unhappy with a decision we have made, or with any aspect of a competition, email hello@bigmouthcompetitions.com marking your message “Complaint”. We aim to acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and to respond substantively within 14 days.

14.2 If you are reporting a suspected breach of these terms or manipulation of a competition, please include any link or screenshot you have. We aim to acknowledge reports within 2 working days.

15. Data protection and publicity

15.1 We process the personal information you provide in order to administer your account, your entries and any prize you win. Our lawful basis for this is the performance of our contract with you. Full details, including how long we keep your information and who we share it with, are in our Privacy Policy.

15.2 We publish an entry list for each competition as described in clause 5.5, and the surname and county of major prize winners as required by clause 9.4. You can ask us to leave your name out of the entry list at any time under clause 5.6.

15.3 If you are a winner, we may ask you to take part in publicity, including photographs, video or social media posts. This is entirely optional and separate from clause 9.4. Declining will not affect your Prize.

15.4 If you are a winner, we may need further personal information and proof of identity to confirm your eligibility and to transfer the Prize to you. If you are unable or unwilling to provide it, we may not be able to award the Prize to you and may offer it to the next eligible Entrant.

15.5 You have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Marketing consent is separate from your entries: you can withdraw it at any time in your account settings or by emailing hello@bigmouthcompetitions.com, and doing so will not affect any entry you have made or any Prize you have won.

15.6 If you ask us to delete your account entirely while a competition you have entered is still running, we will not be able to contact you if you win. We will tell you this before acting on the request so you can decide how to proceed.

15.7 If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk.

16. General

16.1 Our competitions are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any social media platform or app store, including Facebook, Apple Inc. and Google LLC. Apple is not a sponsor of, and is not involved in any way with, our competitions. Google is not a sponsor of, and is not involved in any way with, our competitions. By entering, you agree that none of these companies has any liability for, or responsibility for, the administration or promotion of our competitions, and that any question, comment or complaint about a competition must be directed to us and not to them.

16.2 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will tell you in writing if this happens and will ensure that your rights are not affected.

16.3 These terms are between you and us. No other person has any right to enforce any of them.

16.4 If a court finds any part of these terms unlawful, the rest continues in force.

16.5 If we delay in enforcing these terms, that does not prevent us from enforcing them later.

16.6 These terms are governed by English law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

16.7 You should print or save a copy of these terms and conditions for your records.
